48 Hour Film Project
Acting in and writing for films have always been goals I wanted to pursure. When I moved to Des Moines in 2014, I thought the 48 Hour Film Project would be a great opportunity to do just that.
Teams involved in the project draw a random genre on Friday night, and must complete the film by Sunday evening. We drew horror in 2014, then had to do a creative 180 in 2015 when we drew comedy.
I wrote and starred in both films — and we made Best of City both years!
I took home Honorable Mention for acting in this short thriller. Not bad for a woman who had never acted in her life!
This bizarre slapstick comedy went over big at Best of City. My script won Best Use of Line and our team won the Golden Wiener Award, created specifically for us. Watch to see why!
